Who are we?

Akcess was incorporated in 2004 because of a huge increase in demand to the previous smaller, family run business. We saw the need for assisted and wheelchair passenger transport in and around Swindon that was cost effective to its users. The foundation of Akcess was built, because of the patience, care and compassion demonstrated to its service users and clients. The company has expanded, across Wiltshire, Dorset and Gloucestershire. and in January 2012 became a Community Interest Company. We now have 170 vehicles of all sizes!

We exist to benefit the community.

Akcess is a community Interest Company, this means we operate "not for Profit." Using full cost recovery software created by ACEVO
This means we are self-sufficient and don't rely on government subsidies to offer our services. This also means we keep costs lower for services supplied to local government which in turn frees up public funds.
We work in partnership with many charities, organisations and local authorities.
